ABOUT CHANELLE DE JAGER
Chanelle’s passion stems from a deep respect for the natural world and its stories.
Her artistic journey is as dramatic as it is transformative. Trained in Dramatic Art and having graced numerous films and television series, she once found her stage under the spotlight. Yet, the call to create with her own hands was irresistible. In 2019, upon moving to the expansive Kalahari Desert, Chanelle discovered the ancient art of skull carving—and with it, a magical love affair with bone began.
Drawing inspiration from the romantic allure of Damask patterns—marked by elegant lines, mysterious old-world charm, and a touch of dramatic flair—Chanelle redefines artistic expression.
Her work, a compelling blend of natural rawness and refined design, transforms once-forgotten remnants into captivating pieces of art. Recently exhibited at a renowned art gallery in Prince Albert, her creations not only celebrate the beauty of the natural world but also stand as a testament to her innovative vision and enduring passion for the craft.
